Name the Rover

Thanks for all your suggestions and participation in the naming of our Land Rover!

We’ve officially named the Land Rover “Ruth.”

We’ve now driven over 5,000 miles on this trip and she’s been running like a machine. She’s been able to take us on terrain that other vehicles wouldn’t be able to go on, provide solid and safe transportation across the county, and provide enough room for the Saint Bernard. Ruth, with her Turbo Diesel engine, has gotten us 25+ miles per gallon on gas, even with all the luggage we’re hauling.

[box]Did you know? The original Land Rover was designed to be an agricultural vehicle, sized to fit 2 bails of hay and 1 sheep. [/box]

  1. Hi neighbors… did not so much as have a name to offer for the Rover, however I wanted to let you know that I tried to submitt my email in order to receive your updates and got an error message.

I will try again at a later date… in the interim “God Speed” on your “Kingdom Bound” journey.

  2. Clay Dawg and I think she should be called: “Raphal” or Raph after one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Now hear me out……..

The team’s bad boy, He has an aggressive nature and seldom hesitates to throw the first punch. He is an intense fighter. His personality can be alternately fierce and sarcastic, and oftentimes delivers deadpan humor. Still, he is intensely loyal.

Just a thought! Love and miss you guys!!!!

  3. Well, since you said “SHE’s to cool to not have a name,” I’m going to go with some feminine suggestions…

    Gretta
    Wyllamina
    Elmyra
    Doris
    Dexter (ok, that’s masculine)
Ophelia (though may they not share the same fate)
    Lady Beula

I’ll keep thinking. I’m religious about naming my cars, so I heartily approve of this process. 🙂

    bless you guys!
